So, this is the corner where my vintage gal is released. (As if she isn't released enough) Any who, today and more and more frequently, I come across girls and gals alike not knowing the simple things that I take for granted everyday. For example, everyday I do a fake bettie-bang. Bettie Page in a bikini . N.d. JPEG file.
I just assumed that everyone knew how to do that, but then again I've gotten into a circle of people who share some what of an interest that I have. So, I have decided to explain how to do this very simple hairstyle (*and hopefully a youtube video of me doing it will follow and I'll post that link when the time comes.)
Here's What you'll need:
1.Bobby Pins
2. Hairspray (I like Aquanet, it holds really well, and its really cheap)
3. A comb or round brush, depending if you've done this before
4. Modesty and good luck :)
Now begin:
1.Section off a piece of hair
2. Take the section and begin to roll it into a roll towards your eyebrows. (This will become easier as you do it more frequently)
3.Pin loop securely to scalp using bobby-pins (at least two pins, depending on how thick your hair is depends on many pins you will need)
4. Stretch the curl easily, you don't want to pull anything out of the loop.
5. Hairspray the curl to hold the style and to smooth any flyaway hairs.
6. Add any extra pins as needed. This is the time you can add a flower, or like I had done at the time; a simple ribbon used as a headband.
Its quite simple, I have my bangs like this practicably everyday. Its a cute, vintage-y hairstyle that keeps the hair out of our eyes.
